The work touches upon moments of daily life and rituals of female labor, resonating pagan dances laden with magic. Asimini’s performative installation shows a powerful female entity undergoing transformation essential for her survival. The sense memory of the presence of the artist’s mother and aunts during her childhood is transmuted into an installation that bears elements of “magic” and mystery.
